Salmon is one of my favorite ingredients. It is so versatile and easy to cook with. Let's jump into some of my favorite gluten free salmon recipes.

When you have celiac disease or a gluten intolerance (or simply adhere to a gluten free diet) it is great to have some delicious and flaky salmon recipes in your repertoire. Perfect for busy weeknights or weekends, I have easy dinners and quick meal prep recipes!

The best part is that every recipe is ready in under 30 minutes. These are easy salmon recipes and each recipe I hope will become a family favorite. Nothing is better than an easy meal that has a short cooking time and has the seal of approval from the whole family. Some of these recipes (like my Christmas salmon) are also perfect for special occasions. For best results for each of these recipes, try to stick to the recipe card.

I love that you can easily pair these meals with quick sides like sushi rice, brown rice, creamy mashed potatoes, harissa carrots, or brown sugar honey glazed carrots. It is one of my all-time favorite fish.

Tips and Tricks For Gluten Free Salmon Recipes:

The perfect meal is always based on the quality of its ingredients. Therefore using a good quality salmon as the main ingredient is key. If you want a delicious gluten-free dinner make sure that you use good quality salmon. This does not mean that you only purchase the best quality salmon or  fresh salmon fillets, I actually recommend that you buy frozen. 

*All fish is frozen after it is caught. Frozen fish is fish that has been frozen and not yet thawed. "Fresh" fish is fish that was frozen when it was caught, and then was thawed at the grocery store to be sold at the counter. The fillets often aren't good the next day, so if you do not intend to have the entire family eat them that night, I suggest buying frozen. Place frozen fillets in the fridge the night before to take the edge off, and then place salmon on the counter to fully thaw before cooking.

Depending on the recipe you are making, ingredients can help elevate a dish. Sesame seeds can give nice texture and a nutty flavor (same with sesame oil). Coconut aminos tastes just like soy sauce but is gluten free (or you can look for a gluten-free soy sauce if you want to make a teriyaki salmon). Fresh garlic, sriracha sauce, lemon zest, etc. Salmon is a great canvas to try different flavors on and get your taste buds moving. The first time you make the recipe, try to stick to the recipe card, and the next time, you can take it to the next level because you will know what exactly it is that you love or what you wan to pair it with.
